Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s family just got bigger!
The couple welcomed their fourth child, son Caius Chai Curry, on Saturday, May 11.
They announced his birth more than two weeks later in an Instagram post on Sunday, May 26.
In their joint social media post, the couple shared a black and white photo of the new mother of four holding her newborn’s hand.
“Our adorable little boy decided to arrive early!!” they wrote in the caption. “He is doing very well and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6! So grateful!”
In March, Ayesha Curry visited Studio 1A with her best friend, Lindsay Lohan, to promote their new Netflix movie, “Irish Wish,” and Ayesha also shared details about her family’s news.
“Ayesha, can we just say “Congratulations”? Jenna Bush Hager asked Ayesha.
“We have an announcement to make!” » » added Hoda Kotb.
“Yes,” Ayesha said. “Baby number four.”
Hoda asked what made Ayesha and Steph decide to expand their family.
Ayesha said she felt like “someone was missing.” I’d be loading the car or setting the dinner table, and I’d be like, “I feel like we shouldn’t call him at three.” “And he said to me, ‘Music to my ears,'” Ayesha said.
“He would like ten children,” she joked. “Easy for him to say, isn’t it?” »
Ayesha added: “Everything feels so balanced, so we’re really excited.”
Each of their children had slightly different reactions to the news.
Curry said Riley, his 11-year-old son, is “skeptical but excited, but kind of like, ‘Another one.’ Ayesha described 8-year-old Ryan as being very “physical,” so she’s keeping an eye on his mom’s growing belly. Canon, her 5-year-old son, is “in love with everything” and constantly asks how big the baby is.
Many of her fans wondered if her baby on the way would arrive in July, just like her three older children.
It seems to be a special month for the family as Ayesha and her Golden State Warriors star husband also got married in July 2011. They welcomed daughter Riley, 11, in July 2012; her daughter Ryan, 8, in July 2015; and his son Canon, 5 years old, in July 2018.

Riley Elizabeth Curry, 11 years old
News of Curry’s pregnancy on March 1 comes less than a year after she revealed she regretted not shielding her eldest child, Riley, from the public eye.
“When the social media thing started, no one knew what it was going to become,” Ayesha told Insider.
“If we had known at the time how chaotic it would make life, I don’t think we would have done it,” added the mother, who began taking Riley to public events, including NBA games. and at his father’s press conferences. , when she was only 2 years old.
“But we were truly living our lives back then. And we thought, “This is our child. We take our child with us.
Riley seems to have inherited her mother’s love of cooking and started showing off her cooking skills a few years ago. Riley appeared on “Ayesha’s Home Kitchen,” the Food Network show hosted by her mother in 2016-2017.
“It’s going to be really interesting to see what path she takes because she can already throw herself into the kitchen,” Ayesha Curry told People in June 2022.
“She made us this chicken piccata the other night from scratch,” the proud mom continued. “I did absolutely nothing. People were hitting me and saying, “That was wrong, wasn’t it?” And I’m like, “Absolutely not, no. » She made it from start to finish and it was absolutely delicious. I was so proud I could cry.
The following year, Riley’s father revealed that his daughter also had athletic abilities and “loved volleyball.”
“So she found something that she loves, and she’s passionate about it, and she loves working on it,” Steph Curry told People in July 2023.
That same month, Ayesha wished Riley a happy 11th birthday on Instagram.
“My firstborn is 11 years old!!! We can’t believe it. Time just passed. I am so proud of my sweet, intelligent, talented and captivating big girl. It’s a joy to be his mother. Riley Roo is 11 years old! she wrote.
Ryan Carson Curry, 8 years old
Like her older sister, the couple’s younger daughter, Ryan, melts fans’ hearts when she attends her father’s NBA games.
Ayesha celebrated Ryan’s 8th birthday in July 2023 by sharing a few photos of the celebrating little girl on Instagram.
“My little girl is 8 years old today!!! I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday… My little night baby. Full of energy, courage, love and charisma. This girl makes our world go round. My Ryan. My (butterfly emoji).
Her father shared a birthday tribute a few days later. “A little late at the station, but that. East. 8! » he wrote alongside a photo of his little girl.
Ayesha shared more about Ryan’s personality in a sweet tribute on his 7th birthday in July 2022.
“Our little girl is 7 years old! She is compassionate, strong, caring, intelligent, beyond loving and certainly beats her own drum! We love our little butterfly. @stephencurry30 and I are so proud,” she wrote alongside several photos of Ryan celebrating with a birthday cake while wearing a cute beret.
Canon W. Jack Curry, 5
The couple’s third child, their son Canon, turned 5 in July 2023.
Ayesha shared several photos on Instagram of little Canon in honor of his birthday, writing: “Our little boy is FIVE today! Our stubborn, courageous, intelligent and loving Canon Jack. Where does the time go?!”
Canon’s father also posted a photo of his little boy, writing: “Keep shining, Young Wolf!! #5,” and added a praying hands emoji.
In November 2018, Ayesha spoke to People about the Canon name. “France is one of our favorite places to vacation, which is why the name is actually French and means young wolf, which Stephen loved because we kind of think of ourselves as a pack of wolves,” said she declared.
The mother of three added that she and her husband actually discussed naming one of their children Canon during their honeymoon.
“We fell in love with this name. We didn’t know anyone with that name and we thought it was special,” she said. “So seven years later we were finally able to use it.”
Caius Chai Curry
The couple welcomed their youngest child, son Caius, on May 11, 2024.
Ayesha showed off her baby bump in a cover story for Sweet July’s first digital edition titled ‘The Village Issue’.
She opened up about what it was like to find out she was pregnant with her fourth child at 34, and she said it was “interesting” to see how her doctor explained her pregnancy on paper.
“A lot of women in their 30s and 40s are experiencing this for the first time, and being told they’re ‘old’ is alarming and wild,” she said. “I think the narrative needs to be changed a little bit.”
On March 1, Ayesha and Sweet July both shared an image of the cover on Instagram. In the corresponding captions, they said the issue would explore “the range of our most cherished relationships,” as she “excitedly announces her growing family.”
