The Buckeyes extended eight offers to various prospects, finally breaking the trend of seven offers handed out each day as they were across the top three camps this month.
For starters, I’ve been covering these recruiting camps for a few years now and it’s hard to think of a camp I’ve seen that had a better collection of offensive linemen from top to bottom. The group was led by five-star 2026 offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, the No. 4 overall prospect and No. 2 offensive tackle in the cycle according to the 247Sports composite rankings. The group also included a trio of four-star offensive linemen in the 2026 class: Sam Greer, Felix Ojo, Carter Scruggs and Drew Evers, who was offered by OSU on Wednesday, a day before camp.
Iheanacho was on his first visit to Columbus since being offered by Justin Frye in May and later told reporters he enjoyed the experience.
“The camp was great, I’m trying to improve,” he said. “I learned a bit of technique that I didn’t really know when I arrived.”
Greer, Iheanacho and Evers already held offers from the Buckeyes at the start of camp, but Ojo, a Texas prospect, earned one thanks to his performance in individual and one-on-one drills. The 6-foot-6, 285-pound Ojo is considered the No. 296 prospect and No. 22 ranked offensive tackle in the class of 2026. He has 25 Division I offers, including Alabama, Arkansas , Baylor, Florida State, Georgia, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and USC.
Speaking of talented position groups, it seems like every other day, Tim Walton and Matt Guerrieri have no shortage of talented defensive backs on campus. That was true again Thursday as 2026 four-star cornerback Elbert Hill and 2026 four-star safety Jireh Edwards were eager attendees at OSU’s camp. Hill has been a frequent visitor to campus over the past year, earning his offer from the Buckeyes a year ago in camp.
“Today was awesome, I got to compete with guys from all over the country,” Hill said. “I learned some new things, new tools from Coach Walton today. I was just here to have fun today.”
Edwards was offered by OSU in February 2023 and praised his relationship with Walton and Guerrieri in an interview with Eleven warriors after his training.
“I call them almost every day,” Edwards said. “It’s also a good conversation, I’m watching them, they’re watching me.”
Ohio State also offered Edwards’ high school teammate, 2027 St. Frances Academy star Raylaun Henry. The Buckeyes were the seventh Division I Henry offered, joining Florida, Auburn, Miami, Michigan State, Tennessee and UCF as schools offered so far.
Two talented 2026 defensive linemen impressed Larry Johnson on Thursday: Zavion Griffin-Haynes and Jamarion Carlton. Carlton accepted its offer from Ryan Day on Wednesday before camping, and Griffin-Haynes left Columbus with an offer of his own after a strong workout with Johnson.
Griffin-Haynes, 6-foot-6, 220 pounds, is considered the No. 127 prospect and No. 11 prospect in the 2026 cycle. He holds nearly 20 Division I offers, including Auburn, Duke, Florida State, Illinois , Miami, North Carolina, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, UCLA, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
When I went to the Under Armor Next Camp in Canton in May, 2026 All-State linebacker Storm Miller was one of the players I was most intrigued by. Miller had a good camp in May and brought the same intensity to Columbus on Thursday, impressing James Laurinaitis enough to earn an OSU offer.
The Strongsville resident is the 240th ranked player and No. 20 linebacker in the 2026 cycle and has nearly 20 Division I offers. Other schools that have offered the 6-foot-3, 220-pound model include Cincinnati, Clemson, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Notre Dame, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
New York’s 2026 three-star Messiah Hampton impressed with his route running and acceleration and was the only wide receiver offered by Brian Hartline on Thursday. The 6-foot, 170-pound product has a dozen offers, including Michigan, Penn State, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Keenan Bailey has had a busy summer and there’s no shortage of talented tight ends camped out at Ohio State over the past two weeks. It’s no secret that the Buckeyes’ top tight end target in the 2025 class was by far Nate Roberts, which has been working since his commitment in April. But OSU could potentially pick up a second tight end in the 2025 cycle if it finds the right fit.
That tight end could be three-star prospect Brody Lennon, who earned an offer from Bailey after an impressive camp.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Lennon is considered the No. 829 overall prospect and No. 40 tight end in the 2025 class. So far, he has officially visited Kentucky and will be at Mizzou this weekend. end. Now that he has an offer, Lennon told Eleven Warriors that he will take an official visit to Columbus next weekend.
“It was amazing, I always grew up an OSU fan and my dad went there,” Lennon said. Eleven warriors of its offer. “Coach Bailey thought I had a good camp and I had already done a workout with him in May, so it was more fair for the other coaches to see me.”
OSU also offered two tight ends from Michigan in the 2027 class: Holden Niemi and Anthony Cartwright III. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Niemi has six offers (Michigan and Wisconsin being the other Power Five programs). Cartwright, who is 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds, has 14 offers, including Alabama, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Purdue and Rutgers .

Top-55 prospect Derrek Cooper was easily the best running back on campus Thursday and already had an OSU offer before attending camp. It wouldn’t be surprising to see running backs coach Carlos Locklyn make a push in his favor next cycle. “It was awesome,” Cooper said Eleven warriors of his experience. “It was a great camp for me because it was my first camp where the coaches really coached hard this camp. It was amazing.”

Scruggs wasn’t tendered Thursday, but he certainly has the potential to be an OSU-caliber lineman from what I’ve seen.
