Amazon is offering massive discounts on gaming headsets for Prime Day – IGN

Amazon Prime Day is here, and you’re getting two full days of great deals on the best gaming headsets on the market. That includes lag-free wireless gaming headsets and some of the best wired gaming headsets on the market right now. I’ve found nine of the best gaming headset deals for Prime Day so you can get your hands on a deal that’s worth waiting for.

There are some great deals to be had, with my favorites including the high-end Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless, and a few great gaming headphones, all of which are getting deep discounts for Prime Day. I’ve even included a few great budget headsets that are a steal at any price.

Remember, you must be a Prime member to get these deals, so consider purchasing one 30 days free trial before the end of the sale.

TL;DR: Here are the best Prime Day deals on gaming headsets

SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Headset for $274.95

Usually priced at a whopping $350, the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is on sale for $275 during Prime Day. This headset has been one of my favorite gaming headsets since its release. I still use it as my daily headset, in fact. Why? Because this headset offers stunning sound quality, excellent noise cancellation, supreme comfort, and a hot-swappable battery that will last me well after Prime Day is over. A spare battery and charging dock are also included in the separate transmitter case.

Discover our Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Review for a full breakdown of its features. While it’s not the best price we’ve seen this year, this deal still knocks a few bucks off IGN’s favorite gaming headset that’s worth a look even at full price.

Arctis Nova Pro Wireless

And if you don’t mind being tethered to your machine, the wired version is a bit cheaper at $190 for PC and PS5, and $175 for Xbox (down from its usual retail price of $250).

HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless for $146.85

There’s a reason you see HyperX’s red and black flash every time someone says the words “best gaming headset.” These headsets know how to handle sound. For those looking for a robust gaming headset with a long-lasting wireless connection, the HyperX Cloud Alpha is getting a nice 38% discount for Prime Day.

They may not be designed for use with Xbox consoles, but as we noted in our review, this headset offers “a layered and balanced soundstage” among countless other features that make it worth considering for under $150.

Cloud Alpha Wireless

Again, if you’re not too bothered by cables and are looking to save even more, the HyperX Cloud III is currently just $70, down from its usual retail price of $100. This is another stunning gaming headset that got a score of 8 in our review thanks to its extremely comfortable and durable frame and solid soundstage.

Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max for 119.99

Amazon is selling the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max for $60 off its list price, which is no small feat for this comfortable wireless headset. In IGN’s 9/10 review, Samuel Horti calls it “a dream choice if you own both an Xbox and a PlayStation console” with its seamless 2.4GHz wireless connection that delivers full, punchy audio.

Sony Inzone H9 Wireless $199.99

Right now, the Sony Inzone H9 Wireless Gaming Headset is just $200 for Prime Day. That’s down from its usual $300 price tag, and for a discount like that, this device is definitely worth checking out. Not only does it offer simultaneous Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless pairing, but it also comes with around 30 hours of battery life and impeccable 3D audio.

OUR Sony Inzone H9 Wireless Review Note that it’s a bit hard to recommend it at its premium price point due to an average microphone and music performance. But with this kind of discount, you won’t have to worry about paying a premium price for a mid-range gaming headset.

Alternatively, the Sony Inzone H5 Wireless is still a good buy today, and right now its standard retail price is down to $130 from $150. Not bad for a gaming headset that combines both comfort and sound quality.

Razer Hammerhead HyperSpeed Gaming Headphones for $119.99

Low latency, compact and ultra-comfortable, the Razer Hammerhead HyperSpeed earbuds have earned a 8 in our review and now sit on top of our best gaming headphones Roundup. Right now, they’re down from $150 to $120 for Prime Day. That’s a 23% discount on fantastic headphones that deliver stunning directional sound and 30 hours of battery life.

For an over-ear headset from Razer, we also recommend the Barracuda X. As Mike Epstein wrote in his 8/10 IGN review, “The Razer Barracuda X isn’t flashy, but it delivers clear, easy-to-use wireless audio” on most platforms. “Given its $99 price tag, it’s also one of the best budget wireless headsets on the market.”

JBL Quantum One for $199.95

Amazon is slashing 30% off several JBL headsets, including the Quantum 910 Wireless Gaming Headset (which IGN gave an 8/10 rating), but the one to grab right now is the Quantum One. In our 9/10 review, Mike Epstein called it an “incredible” and “unique” gaming headset that can “compete with the best on the market.” Slashing $100 off this coveted headset that will last for years is a deal we recommend you grab.

Corsair Virtuoso Pro for $139.99 and Corsair HS65 Wireless for $74.99

Several Corsair headsets are on sale for up to 40% off their regular price, but we suggest checking out two in particular. The undiscounted Corsair Virtuoso Pro is a bit pricey for wired headsets, but this Prime Day sale price is easier to stomach. In IGN’s 8/10 review, Chris Coke calls it a great “all-in-one” headset that “gives the best gaming headsets a run for their money in terms of pure sound quality” with its 50mm drivers.

The Corsair HS65 Wireless is a cross-platform marvel with simple plug-and-play connections. While those of you with larger skulls might find it a little tight, it’s a beautiful headset with a minimalist design and 7.1 surround sound, and with 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth 5.2 capabilities, you can easily switch between gaming and music. Although the software leaves something to be desired, according to our Corsair HS65 Wireless Review“24-hour battery life lets you play and listen all day.”

Should you wait for Black Friday to buy a gaming headset?

Gaming headsets aren’t usually the best value, so it’s worth looking around for the best deal possible. The best time to buy a new headset will always be Prime Day or Black Friday. The big difference between these two shopping events is that by Black Friday, most manufacturers have launched their newest headset models, so you’re more likely to find discounts on the newest versions. That said, some of our favorite and tried-and-true gaming headsets are on sale for Prime Day, and it’s always a risk to wait and see if prices drop. You’ll also be able to find deeper discounts on older headphones and earbuds, like this year’s Prime Day AirPods deals.
