Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.4 Update, “Finest Duel Under the Pristine Blue,” to Launch on July 31

A collaboration with the Fate (61 articles)” href=”https://www.gematsu.com/series/fate”>Fate/stay night (Unlimited Blade Works) was also announced, which is expected for the third quarter of 2025.

As the Penaconian vacation draws to a close, the crew of the Astral Express heads to a familiar destination: the Xianzhou Luofu. Here, they’ll reunite with old friends and meet new ones at the Wardance Ceremony. This update also introduces two new five-star characters, Yunli and Jiaoqiu, as well as an uncharted map filled with the buried secrets of this Silkpunk flagship. Additionally, beloved character March 7th will embark on her own journey into the martial arts. Finally, the special has made an exciting announcement that will captivate fans everywhere: Honkai: Star Rail will officially collaborate with the Fate/stay night (Unlimited Blades) anime, with this collaboration expected to take place in the third quarter of 2025.

In the new update, the captivating story of the Wardance Ceremony will unfold. While the Ambrosia Crisis has been resolved, the Pioneers remain crucial witnesses to the ongoing saga of Xianzhou Luofu. The Wardance Festival commemorates the victory of the Rainbow Arbiter and the Cloud Knight against the Abominations of Abundance. This year’s Wardance aims to boost the morale of the people of Luofu after the recent crisis and comes as an invitation to allies and friends in a gesture of peace and hospitality. The Pioneers will reunite with familiar faces such as Yanqing and meet important figures such as Merlin’s Claw, General Feixiao of Xianzhou Yaoqing, and the Flaming Heart, General Huaiyan of Xianzhou Zhuming.

Version 2.4 also introduces a new map: Hell Prison. Overseen by the Ten Lords Commission, this formidable facility is where Xueyi and Hanya carry out their duties. Hell Prison holds the kingdom’s most notorious criminals, and its cold, imposing entrance is hidden beneath the waters of Scalegorge’s waterscape, adding an extra layer of mystery. When Pioneers pass through the Gate of Calming the Seas, they arrive at the Dispatch Center. Beneath the center, the prison’s floors descend into darkness, their true depth unknown. Additionally, Hell Prison is inhabited by wolf-like monsters called Borisin, known for their ruthless nature and innate lunar rage.

In addition to the new map to explore, Yunli, a five-star character, will make her debut in the upcoming version by participating in the Wardance Ceremony as a delegate of Xianzhou Zhuming. Yunli is a simple sword hunter and the beloved granddaughter of General Huaiyan “Flaming Heart”. She has practiced swordsmanship and forging under Huaiyan’s profound guidance since childhood, making her the second youngest prodigy sword master in the Flamewheel Octet. As a physical-type character following the path of destruction, Yunli stands out in battle with her unique counter ability. When attacked, she immediately counters, dealing damage to the target and adjacent enemies. Additionally, after using her ultimate, Yunli gains the parry state, reducing damage taken and taunting all enemies. More importantly, in this state, Yunli’s CRIT DMG will be greatly increased and her ordinary counter will be upgraded to a powerful counter, dealing higher damage. Furthermore, in the Version 2.4 scenario, a dispute arises between Yanqing and Yunli over their swordsmanship prowess, leading the two of them to end up teaching each other swordsmanship on March 7th.

Jiaoqiu, representing the delegates from Xianzhou Yaoqing, arrives alongside Yunli. Born into a distinguished family in the Alchemy Commission, Jiaoqiu is a Foxian healer and advisor. While he often greets others with a warm smile, beneath this facade lies a cunning nature. Jiaoqiu’s mastery of alchemical prescriptions, particularly those that treat food as medicine, is unrivaled. His true talent lies in discovering meals that inspire the senses and give rise to unique recipes rich in spices. As a Fire-type character on the Path of Nothingness, Jiaoqiu’s abilities are unique and formidable. Any attack Jiaoqiu launches has the chance to inflict a debuff from Ash Roast. When the enemy is affected by Ash Roast, they effectively suffer from the Burning condition. As Ash Roast stacks increase, so does the amount of damage enemies take. When Jiaoqiu activates her Ultimate, the battlefield turns into a massive cauldron of yuanyang, compounding the effects of Ash Roast for enemies already affected by it, based on the current highest stack count. This also creates a multi-turn field, where enemies take increased Ultimate DMG and can receive additional stacks of Ash Roast during their actions (2,026 items)” href=”https://www.gematsu.com/genres/action”>. This debuff helps teammates like Acheron gain Ultimate stacks faster, improving their effectiveness in combat.

Meanwhile, back at Xianzhou Luofu, March 7th is also filled with excitement for the upcoming Wardance and eagerly seeks to participate, beginning her journey as an apprentice swordmaster under Yunli and Yanqing. During combat, when she uses her skill, March 7th designates a teammate as her Shifu and gives them a special drink to increase their SPEED. As a promising young student, March 7th adjusts her style based on her Shifu’s actions. When her Shifu takes a specific action, March 7th gains Charges. When the stacks reach a set number of stacks, she immediately performs a new action and gains an enhancement (31 items)” href=”https://www.gematsu.com/companies/enhance”>Enhanced base ATK. Additionally, depending on her Shifu’s path, her attacks gain additional effects. For example, Shifus on the Destruction, Erudition, or Hunting paths can enhance specific attacks to deal additional DMG, while those on the Void, Harmony, Preservation, or Abundance paths can increase the Toughness Reduction of specific attacks.

It’s worth noting that the limited 5-star characters Huohuo and Sparkle will be making their appearance in the Warps during the first and second halves of 2.4, respectively. Their formidable strength ensures that they will remain powerful allies in your future adventures.
