Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly stopped house hunting in the UK due to growing concerns over the couple’s safety.
Harry has taken legal action against the Home Office over its February 2020 decision that he should receive a different level of taxpayer-funded protection while in the country.
The couple are said to have called off their search for a part-time home near Windsor as it became clear the affair would not end in the near future.
“Harry really wants to spend more time in the UK but he doesn’t feel comfortable doing so until the security issues have been resolved,” a source told The Express.
It comes as the BBC presenter who interviewed the couple during their engagement hit back at the Duchess’ claims it felt like an “orchestrated reality show”.
The comment was part of a series of explosive revelations in the couple’s 2022 Netflix documentary series.
The interview Meghan was referring to was with BBC host Mishal Husain, who said she “didn’t know what to think” about the claim.
Will Meghan join Harry in UK for Invictus Games 2027?
It is not yet known whether Meghan will accompany Harry to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
She was last seen in public in the UK at the late Queen’s funeral in 2022.
The Duke marked the 10th anniversary of Invictus at a special ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral in London in May, but was without Meghan, and there was no appearance from the King or William.
The Olympics, however, hold special memories for Harry and Meghan. They were first photographed in public together at the Invictus in Toronto in 2017 as they watched a wheelchair tennis match.
The former actress is a keen supporter of the games and rarely misses events.

BBC presenter responds to Meghan Markle’s ‘reality show’ claims
The BBC presenter who interviewed Meghan and Harry during their engagement has hit back at claims the interview felt like an “orchestrated reality TV show”.
Mishal Husain was one of the unlikely characters caught in the crossfire in the couple’s 2022 Netflix documentary series, in which Meghan made the comment.
The BBC presenter has now said she “didn’t know what to think” of the claim, as she revealed the couple seemed certain about their future.
“When the Duchess of Sussex said my engagement interview with her and Harry was an ‘orchestrated reality show’, I didn’t know what to make of it,” she wrote in the August issue of Saga magazine.
“They seemed to have thought about what their new life would be like and what marriage would mean for his life in particular.”
She added: “There was no sign of what was going to happen. They were two people who were so full of joy for each other and for life.”

Will William or Charles compete in the Invictus Games on home soil?
With Birmingham confirmed as the host of the Invictus Games 2027, questions have been raised as to whether Harry’s father the King, his brother the Prince of Wales and other members of the Royal Family will be in attendance to support the event.
Charles and William supported Harry as he embarked on this great adventure 10 years ago, joining him at the opening ceremony and later by his side as they watched the sporting events together in high spirits.
But a lot has changed in the years since, with Harry stepping down as senior royal to the Duchess of Sussex and moving to the United States.
He has had to deal with a strained relationship with his father and an ongoing rift with his brother, exacerbated by criticism he levelled at Charles, the Queen, William and the Princess of Wales in his Netflix documentary and memoir Spare.

Invictus announcement comes at critical time for Games
The announcement that Prince Harry’s Invictus Games will return to the UK in 2027 comes at a crucial time for the event.
The former games CEO recently announced his departure after a decade at the helm of games and six games on three continents.
Dominic Reid, who is credited with helping to grow the foundation globally, said the organisation was a “great place” but now needed a “new look”.
“It’s definitely the community that’s built,” he said. “It’s a fantastic gated community and it’s growing at 40% a year, which is phenomenal. Internationally it’s grown to include friends and family, which is also a big part of it.”
“Community is what we have accomplished. It has had a therapeutic effect.”
Prince Harry said he was “immensely grateful” to his “friend” Mr Reid for transforming the Paralympic-style sporting competition for wounded, sick and injured servicemen and veterans from an ambitious idea into a global movement.
He praised his tireless efforts and spoke about the journey they shared together.
