Marvel at Comic-Con 2024: Red carpet, panel photos and more


Marvel Studios has some exciting news in store.

As Kevin Feige revealed what’s to come in the rest of Phase Five and beyond during Saturday’s big Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, some of the MCU’s biggest names, including Robert Downey Jr., Harrison Ford, Pedro Pascal and Florence Pugh, gathered to discuss the upcoming series.

The panel kicked off with a lively choral rendition of Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” after star Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy previously secured the song for Deadpool and Wolverine.

Giancarlo Esposito has announced his casting for the role of Sidewinder in Captain America: Brave New Worldshowing footage from the upcoming film ahead of its February 14, 2025 premiere. Ford was also in attendance, teasing his role as president Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, replacing William Hurt.

Ford told Deadline that he “worked with some great actors who bring a lot to the screen and to the other actors. I was thrilled to work with (Anthony) Mackie and everyone else involved, and I had a great time making this movie.”

Fantastic Four: First Steps was revealed as the film’s official title as stars Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach took to the stage, where it was announced that they will appear in the next two The Avengers movies.

The coming era comes as Marvel Studios recalibrates its model of producing as much content as possible, reducing it to two feature films per year.
