Destiny 2 should make more quests like Dual Destiny, not less


Like many others Destiny 2 players, I slowly dug The final formpost-campaign, especially as I prepare to face the particularly demanding raid of the expansion. Unsurprisingly, many of these quests, centered around acquiring rare and powerful armor and weapons, are some of the best things to be found in The final formcontinuing Bungie’s tradition of having strong tails in its expansions. The final form has many pleasant surprises, but one of them, Dual Destiny, caused controversy among players this week.

Dual Destiny is the latest exotic mission to be honored Destiny 2, and it is one of the most unique. Exotic missions were acclaimed, such as The Whisper and Zero Hour (which returned to the game via In the lightt a few months ago), but Dual Destiny is the first to have a real gimmick outside of a timer and some light puzzles. Dual Destiny can only be completed by two players, requires them to adorn certain subclasses – one Dark, one Light – and requires a certain amount of communication. The reward at the end is quite large: an exotic class item that can yield multiple benefits, including those previously accessible through class-specific gear, meaning classes can now share their abilities with another.
