Travis Scott and Tyga’s pal Alexander “AE” Edwards punched each other at Richie Akiva’s annual “The After” afterparty in Cannes, France on Friday morning, nearly injuring scores of beauties.
“Models were flying all over the place in the melee,” a source exclusively told Page Six. “Someone got hit with an ice bucket.”
We’re told the fight broke out around 5 a.m. when Scott, 33, and Tyga, 34, were at the DJ booth around the same time.
Another source tells Page Six that when Akiva took the mic to shout out Tyga and Edwards saying, “We got T-Raww and AE” in the house, the “Sicko Mode” rapper didn’t like the kind gesture.
We’re told at that point that Scott allegedly snatched the mic out of the party host’s hands, prompting Edwards to tell the “Goosebumps” rapper, “Let him show his love.”
“Travis was the aggressor,” says a source. “He and his team were neurotic, erratic and crazy. To be honest, he was looking to pick a fight with anyone.
Although Scott and Tyga have bad blood considering they both dated Kylie Jenner, we’re told the altercation wasn’t about the 26-year-old “Kardashian” star.
“The story is there (but) it’s not necessarily the cause (of this fight),” an insider said before admitting that there is long-standing tension between the two men because of their ex common.
We’re told Scott became even more enraged and allegedly told Tyga’s security, “Y’all want to die?” »
A source claims that while Edwards tried to defuse the situation, Scott returned with his producer friend Southside to support him.
Southside then allegedly pushed Edwards, prompting him to drag Scott across the stage, ultimately throwing the father of two.
“AE and Tyga’s assistant started beating up Travis,” an eyewitness further claims.
Multiple sources tell Page Six that Tyga himself didn’t appear to have thrown any punches at Scott, as an insider saw the “Rack City” rapper off to the side near the DJ booth during the argument.
A second source adds that Tyga was just “relaxed” the whole time.
The resulting Page Six video shows Scott and Southside brawling with Edwards on stage while the other partygoers look on in shock.
However, we’re told that security eventually managed to break up the fight and everyone continued to party at the historic French estate Domaine La Dilecta “as if nothing had happened.”
We’re told Scott and Southside ran to their cars, while Tyga, Edwards and their pals stayed at the French party.
“The party lasted until around 9 a.m., but it was starting to wind down (at the time of the incident),” a source said.
“The fight lasted quite a long time before security intervened, someone turned off the music and eventually everything calmed down.”
Another insider points out that “no one was seriously injured during the argument.”
Representatives for Scott, Edwards and Tyga did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment
The annual party – co-hosted this year by Sena, Andrei Gillott, Dimitri and Maurice Varsano and Badius – featured DJ sets from Zack Bia, Ruckus with a special pop-up from Diplo, Chase B, DJ Cruz, Ramsey and Hale . Zero.
We’re told that around 2 a.m., just hours before the big fight, AmfAR gala headliner Cher – who is dating Edwards – “brought the house down with a standing ovation.”
Kylie’s sister Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila was featured and the party, presented by Mantra, was hosted by RepBets and Seventy One.
