Arrival of the anvil

A new operation has arrived Halo Infinite with a new BTB mode and a community-created map, and we have a lot on the horizon, from the HCS Atlanta Major to the physical release of Season 2 of Halo TV series (including a lovely limited edition steelbook) and much more.

From July 2 to July 30, Operation: Anvil will be active and you will be able to acquire the new Sangheili-themed ASSAILER armor, a new emblem, and additional Spartan Points to spend in The Exchange.

Get the Premium Operation Pass for 500 or 2000 credits and you’ll also get the Smash and Grab weapon blueprint for the M41 SPNKr and the Rent Seeker weapon skin.

A new Big Team Battle mode has arrived in Halo Infinite!

Warrant Officer Resolution, one of the Zeta Halo Sub-Monitors you met and fought Halo InfiniteThe campaign of , has decided to embark on a multiplayer action. Two of them, simply called “sentinels” in this context, are part of each team; your objective is to protect your sentinels and destroy those of the enemy.

Each team has 2,000 points. As your Sentinels take damage, the available score decreases and if you reach 0, the game is over. Each map will have at least one Repair Field that will spawn in a neutral location. In addition to regenerating the health of your fellow Spartans and vehicles, it will also repair your Sentinels.

Command is a new symmetrical BTB map created by our amazing community mappers and will also be added to the regular rotation of BTB maps.

The Exchange has been refreshed with a new list of items! As before, none of the previous items will disappear, so you won’t miss out if you missed out on certain items in the past.

Note: With this update to The Exchange, previous offerings will no longer appear in The Exchange itself, but can now be obtained through Halo Infinite’s customization menus.

Head toward Halo InfiniteVisit the store and you will find the new packs of this operation available now: Cutthroat Business and Field Modifications.

With the end of Operation Tenrai IV, Juggernaut and Ninjanaut modes were added to Halo InfiniteMatch Composer’s so you can select (or, if that’s not quite your speed, deselect) them at any time.

HCS MAJOR ATLANTA 2024 (HOSTENED BY FAZE CLAN)

HCS returns to Atlanta from July 26-28.

FaZe Clan to welcome third Halo Infinite The major tournament will take place this year at the Gateway Centre Arena. Join us as the best teams in the world compete for their share of $250,000 and a paid trip to the HCS Major Tournament in Salt Lake City later this summer.

Participants will also have the chance to participate in the $5,000 free tournament as well as a series of parallel tournaments in different formats, Halo Infinite and the legacy Halo securities!

With Operation Anvil kicking off this week, it seemed only fitting that we use this month’s art feature for Sam Brown’s illustration of the Anvil station itself, as featured in the 2022 edition of Halo Encyclopedia.

Anvil Station is home to a multi-species partnership between the UNSC and its alien allies the Arbiter’s Swords of Sanghelios. On Anvil Station, humans and Sangheili work together to test experimental prototypes, including new variants of Spartan armor.

Coming later this month, a new Waypoint column will explore “a day in the life” aboard Anvil Station from the perspective of its multi-species personnel.

That wraps up this month’s edition of the Community Update, which means it’s time to dive into some more BTB: Sentry Defense. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had a few very Close games: Once both teams’ scores drop to around the last 500 points, it really feels like the whole dynamic changes.
